LATE GEORGIAN TERRACE

THE COLLECTOR'S HOUSE
GROUND FLOOR

A very late Georgian terrace, with houses of different hues, each wrapped like a colourful treat in a box of chocolates.
This project began with a single idea: the wish to have rooms of eternal Christmas. The smell of cinnamon, decorations of ivy, open fires and a comfortable spot for reading Dickens. A space for tea in rooms which you enter after a busy day, put your dripping umbrella down and all is still, in the softness of a rainy afternoon.
The palette takes its cue from the building’s pink exterior and green front door, expanding inward into a deep, deliberate scheme of moss, deep reddish brown and pink as well as hints of mustard. Layered with old books, warm woods, and small comforts, the house is homely and generous in atmosphere. A jewel box made not for display, but for living.
