MAQUETTE GUIDE, FLOOR PLANS AND COLOUR SCHEMES
As part of every Drawing Room presentation, you’ll receive maquettes — three-dimensional studies of a room, created with specialist software. They are akin to a stage set model (set b0xes), designed to show scale, layout, and atmosphere at a glance. They are invaluable as a tool to envisage your space, and particular to Studio Wallander.
Alongside these, I produce 2D floor plans to illustrate different layout options. Together, they provide both the overview and the detail needed to picture how a design will work in practice.

WHITE MAQUETTES
White Maquettes are included with every Drawing Room Presentation. They are 3D models that show placement of furniture and suggested joinery, with some walls inserted. There are no colours or particular furniture styles indicated. One maquette is delivered per floor plan.
CONCEPT MAQUETTES
Concept Maquettes add carefully chosen detail to create a dressed sense of the finished room. Walls are dark grey or white to avoid bias towards any colour scheme. Any furniture, rugs, or accessories shown in maquettes are approximations, chosen to reflect the style and scale of the design rather than exact pieces or fabrics. They bring atmosphere and character without tipping into a photorealistic render. Many clients find this level the ideal balance between clarity and imagination.
Three-dimensional colour scheme and window treatment drawings are also included (see bottom of page).
FULL 3D MODELS - DOLL'S HOUSES (premium upgrade) ➙
A step beyond the maquette, full 3D Models are complete, wall-to-ceiling representations of a room, with colours, finishes, wallpaper, and furniture included. They are time-intensive to produce, but invaluable if you want to see a space in full realism or to share a fly-through with builders and contractors once you have chosen your colours and layout.
