THE SPATIAL STUDY
MAPPING OUT YOUR HOME
The Spatial Study is a focused design service for rooms where the layout, furniture placement or use of space need proper resolution before a fuller decorative scheme is developed. Using 2D floor plans, unique 3D maquettes, and joinery suggestions, the study tests how the space can be arranged and used, furniture placement, how circulation can be improved, and where built-in storage or fitted elements may help.
It is especially useful if you want more than a consultation, but do not yet need a full concept design with colour, finishes, furniture sourcing or decorative detail. The result is a clear spatial direction for your home, giving you a practical foundation for future design decisions.
The Spatial Study is useful when:
-
You are working with an older house where proportions, existing features and practicalities all matter.
-
You want to test several layout options before committing to purchases, decoration or building work.
-
A room feels awkward because of doors, windows, fireplaces, alcoves, radiators or circulation routes.
-
You need a clearer plan for storage, fitted furniture or possible joinery.
-
You want help deciding the best use for a room.
-
You are planning improvements and want a spatial plan before moving into a fuller design scheme.
-
You have gathered furniture or design ideas, but need to understand what will realistically work.
-
You want to avoid expensive mistakes before ordering furniture or making decorative decisions.
